Terry Austiin

My days are spent in and around Central Texas.  I live in Salado, a beautiful little artist community about 45 minutes north of Austin.  I am on faculty in the Biology Department of Temple College where I was Biology chairman for over a decade.

These days I mostly teach online though I try to teach one course per semester on campus.  I love spending time in my classroom and interacting in person with my students.  I teach Anatomy & Physiology as well as Microbiology to students headed into Allied Health programs.  A typical student of mine is headed into nursing, dental hygiene, respiratory therapy or radiology.  It's nice to know the people who come through my classes go on to help others.

In addition to taking care of my students I also spend time helping other instructors become more proficient with their online coursework.  Much of this work is done in partnership with Pearson Publishing.  I work with these folks both as a Faculty Advisor and a content creator for their online study systems, especially MasteringA&P and MasteringMicrobiology.
